New for 2012-2013
5's Program for Children turning 5 by Dec. 31st:
There will be 8 children with 2 teachers in a newly designed space.
Morning 3's will include 2, 3 and 5 day options.
Both the 2 day and 3 day Twos will be from 8:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m
FUN for ONES & FUN for TWOS
Children attend for one hour once a week with their caregiver from September through December and/or January through May. The children and their adult play together and participate in a variety of art, science and nature-oriented activities, including trail hikes and visits to the Animal Hall. Themes and activities change from week to week. There is a maximum of eight children per class.
Fun for Ones:child must be one and can register for Monday from 9:00-10:00AM
Fun for Twos: child must be 2 by Dec. 31st and can register for either or both Wednesday & Friday 9:00-10:00AM
TWOS
Monday, Wednesday & Friday: from 8:45 to 11:30
Tuesday and Thursday: 8:45 to 11:30
JUNIORS (3-year-olds) & SENIORS (4-year-olds)
Morning: 8:45 to 11:30AM

Extended Day Enrichment
An optional program available every day for an additional $20.00*/day. The program beings at 10:30AM for afternoon students and meets from 11:30AM - 1:15PM for morning students. Children may also attend on "non-school days" from 10:30AM - 1:15PM for a fee of $25.00*/day

Enrollment Procedure
Open enrollment (for students not presently attending the school) for the following year begins in December. Enrollment priority is given to siblings of children currently attending the school. To attend our Twos classes children must be 2 years of age by the end of that September. To enter the 3's or 4's classes in September, the child must reach the age of 3 or 4 years by December 31 of that year.
Interest form:
Application for enrollment begins with sending in the Interest Form which can be found as a link to the left of this page. Please download it, fill it out completely and legibly, and mail it or fax it to Earthplace Nursery School at P.O. Box 165, Westport, CT, fax 203-227-8909
Tour:
Once we have received the interest form we will contact you to make an appointment for a tour of the school. This is a great opportunity to see the classrooms and students while in action as well as a time to ask any questions you may have regarding our philosophy, procedures and curriculum.
Decision:
Within a week of your tour of the school we ask that you please call the Nursery School office at
203-227-7253 ext.119 to inform us of your decision.
Contract:
A contract is sent after we have been informed that you have chosen to have your child attend our Nursery School. Included in this contract will be a response date; at that time we ask for a non-refundable $400 registration fee and an Earthplace Family Membership which starts at $90 for the year. The Earthplace Family membership benefits include, free or discounted program fees, bi-monthly newsletters and 10% store discounts as well as access to Natureplace, Animal Hall and the 62-acre open space wildlife sanctuary.
Tuition, Student Record Form, & Early Childhood Health Assessment Record:
Tuition is paid in two installments; 1/2 in July and 1/2 the following January. Payment options and scholarships are available. In June a tuition bill is sent along with a Student Record Form and Early Childhood Health Assessment Record. We ask that you promptly respond with the tuition and Student Record Form so that we can properly maintain our records and class lists. You are not considered registered for our school until we have received both. $200.00 of the registration fee (sent to us with your contract and family membership) is deducted from the the 2nd tuition payment in January. Your child's Early Childhood Health Assessment Record is due in early August. Your child will NOT be allowed to attend school until this form has been received and reviewed by our nurse.

2012-2013 Tuition Fees & Payment Schedule
Payments are due in June & January. Specific dates will be provided in your contract packet. If you would prefer to make monthly payments we are willing to work with you to create a payment plan for the school calendar year.
